DALLAS — A huge city is coming to Texas.
That’s what Austin’s new mayor says.
I’m here to tell you that Austin is going to become the next great city of the South.
We have a tremendous opportunity to create a better future for all of us, said Mayor Steve Adler.
There are so many good reasons why Austin is a great place to live, work, play and visit.
We have affordable housing and schools that are quality, and we have access to a vibrant cultural community.
This is what Austin needs, and this is what we’re going to bring to our community.
Adler told reporters that Austin has been chosen as the capital of the U.S. to be the first city in Texas to create the nation’s first sustainable, sustainable economy.
The mayor’s comments come after he toured the Austin Downtown Development Corp. in November to showcase his vision for the city.
Austin is set to get its first city hall on Monday.
Adler said he has a long history with Austin and is very excited about the future of the city and the city of Austin.
Austin’s mayor and city council members are expected to discuss the city’s plan to become a sustainable, walkable city for at least the next 30 years.
