In a rare concert featuring a live rock band and live bands from around the world, a band from the U.S. and Canada is playing a sold-out concert at one of the city’s most popular parking lots.
The event is set to take place at the Calgary Civic Auditorium on Friday, Feb. 6.
The concert is being recorded by the Calgary Film Commission and will be broadcast live on CBC News and CBC Radio One.
For a show that is meant to entertain people of all ages, it’s quite a special occasion, said Brian Sayers, the chair of the Calgary Filmmakers’ Association.
“I think the people who are watching it are just going to be blown away, because they are so excited to see this band and this band of singers,” he said.
“And they are going to get a real taste of what they can expect to see, if they’re in Calgary.”
You can’t imagine how big it is.
And it’s going to feel big.
“Tickets are priced from $8 to $15 for the concert and there will be food and beverage at the event.
In 2014, the Calgary Convention and Exhibition Centre hosted an outdoor concert in Calgary’s Civic Auditoria featuring the band U.K. “I can tell you that I have seen bands play on stages for 10, 15, 20 years.
“It’s a very special venue.” “
Sayers said the concert will be filmed in partnership with Calgary’s film commission. “

He said the festival has never hosted a concert before.
“This is a unique opportunity to create a special event and have a show in Calgary that we can’t get anywhere else in Canada, so it’s really important to us that we get it right,” he added.
Says Domingos: “It makes for a very unique concert experience.”
