A mother and her teenage daughter have been caught with nearly 50 stolen cars parked in their garage in a suburban Kroger supermarket parking lot.
The couple’s car was found to be registered to the same company as the stolen vehicles and a police report stated they had parked the cars in a “badly designed” parking lot where they did not have a parking permit.
Police said they are notifying the woman’s husband of the incident.
The woman, who did not want to be named, said she was not happy with the parking lot and was trying to find ways to improve it.
“I have a lot of respect for people who have good intentions.
But I am also disappointed with the people who didn’t care about me and their parking,” she told the newspaper.
“The parking lot has been poorly designed and I don’t like how it looks.”
A Kroger spokesperson said the company had contacted the police and “they will be contacting the woman for further action”.
“Kroger takes parking parking enforcement seriously and will be working closely with the local authorities to address this matter,” the spokesperson said.
